Currently CHRO at Degas, Edson is helping prepare the company for IPO readiness and large-scale international growth, bringing a deeply operational and data-driven approach to the future of HR leadership.


Over the past 17 years, Edson has led workforce transformation, organisational design, M&A integration, and HR strategy across companies ranging from 200 to more than 40,000 employees, primarily in complex, PE-backed and multinational environments. His experience spans over 60 countries, 11 full M&A cycles, and sectors including sustainability, energy, and high-growth enterprise organisations, with previous leadership roles at South Pole and China Three Gorges.


Unlike many HR leaders who enter through talent or culture functions, Edson built his career through the technical foundations of HR: Total Rewards, People Analytics, workforce planning, HR technology, and performance systems. 


This perspective shapes his belief that people strategy becomes most impactful when it is measurable, scalable, and directly connected to business outcomes. His work today focuses heavily on AI-enabled HR operations, advanced analytics, leadership development, and helping Boards and executive teams navigate growth, restructuring, and organisational complexity with greater clarity and trust.
