Mirko D'Arcangelo, currently Director of Global Payroll at Mews,  has spent the past decade helping fast-growing organisations build payroll functions that are not only scalable, but operationally reliable, compliant, and grounded in the day-to-day realities of employees and finance teams.

His experience spans companies including Revolut, Deliveroo, Hopper, and TravelPerk, where he led complex global payroll operations across multiple countries, systems, and regulatory environments. Known for his practical and systems-oriented approach, Mirko is particularly interested in closing the gap between payroll technology and real operational needs.

Before moving into the corporate world, Mirko served in the Italian Army on international peacekeeping missions, an experience that shaped his perspective on leadership, adaptability, and working across cultures. Today, he brings that same grounded mindset into conversations around automation, AI, and the future of operational work, often challenging organisations to focus less on hype and more on building strong foundations that people can genuinely trust.
