How WeAll is impacting workplace inclusion in Spanish-speaking markets

An interview with Tabita Luis the founder of WeAll, a unique community transforming workplace inclusion in Spanish-speaking markets and community partner of FAIR Barcelona 2025.

The birth of WeAll

Tell me about the journey to create WeAll - what gap or opportunity did you see? What makes the WeAll community unique in the Spanish business ecosystem?

WeAll was born from a clear gap in the Spanish-speaking ecosystem. While inclusive leadership and workplace cultures were becoming priorities in the Anglo-Saxon world, in Spain and Latin America many organizations lacked the knowledge, tools, and community to drive real change. Those that showed interest were merely replicating strategies from other regions, which don't necessarily work in our cultural context. As a result, conversations around inclusion often felt isolated, superficial, or merely performative.

I saw an opportunity to create a practical, action-driven space where professionals could not only learn but also share experiences, support each other, and push for real transformation within their organizations. WeAll emerged as a bridge between awareness and implementation, a space where inclusion isn't just discussed but truly integrated into business strategies that create positive, long-lasting impact.

What makes WeAll unique is our localized approach: we address DEI within the cultural and business realities of Spanish-speaking markets. We've created both a safe and bold space that encourages open, sometimes uncomfortable conversations that lead to real growth.

Another distinguishing feature is our intersectional perspective. I truly believe that inclusion isn't one-size-fits-all, and all identities overlap in workplace dynamics. Finally, we go beyond awareness to help companies implement policies, leadership changes, and business decisions that create tangible impact. That's what I strive to accomplish with WeAll.

A powerful partnership

Looking at our partnership today - what possibilities made you say "this is the right fit"? How do you see both communities benefiting and growing together through this collaboration?

I believe both of our communities are built on the belief that inclusion isn't just an ideal, but an actionable, transformative force for business and society. There is a shared commitment to creating real positive impact.

When I first learned about Fair, it was clear we shared the same mission, we're not just here to talk about inclusion but to drive meaningful change. We are navigating a critical time that requires us to join forces, combining our strengths, expertise, reach, and influence to amplify our message and create lasting progress in workplace culture.

Witnessing transformation

Can you share some transformative moments you've witnessed within the WeAll community? What kind of connections and relationships have you seen develop that really stand out?

One of the most powerful aspects of my work with WeAll is seeing how curiosity or a seemingly superficial isolated action can turn into real change.

A moment that stands out is when an HR leader approached me to speak at their International Women's Day event a couple of years ago. This was supposed to be a one-time participation, but during our conversation, she expressed a desire to "learn more about DEI." That initial discussion evolved into a six-month project where I helped her company revamp their entire hiring process to prioritize structured, unbiased recruitment practices.

Personal Growth Through Community Leadership

How has leading this community shaped your own professional journey? What drives you to keep building and nurturing this community?

Leading WeAll has been a journey of personal transformation. I launched the community with a dear colleague, and in the beginning, we were just experimenting and advocating for what we believed was fair and relevant. When she eventually had to step down, the road became more challenging, and I had to step up as an advocate in ways I never anticipated.

WeAll has sharpened my ability to navigate difficult conversations, whether it's challenging unconscious bias, addressing resistance to change, or pushing companies beyond performative DEI efforts. It has also given me a front-row seat to real impact. Watching people grow, companies evolve, and workplace cultures transform has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

What keeps me going is the people, they literally fuel my work. Every time someone shares how WeAll helped them find their voice, push for change, or feel less alone, it reminds me why this work matters.

There's still so much to do, especially now that we're seeing regression in the US. I refuse to let DEI become a passing trend, because workplaces should be for everyone. I know how it feels to shrink oneself to fit in, and it is simply crushing, especially for those with identities that have been traditionally marginalized. That experience ignited a fire in me to build spaces where everyone can be valued and respected regardless of their identity, workplaces where everyone can thrive as they are.

The future of WeAll

Where do you see WeAll's biggest opportunities for impact in the coming years? How might this partnership help realize that vision?

I want to scale WeAll's impact, taking the energy and transformation I've seen with our work and driving it even further into more businesses and leaders around the world. Many companies want to be more inclusive but struggle with the "how." I want to expand WeAll to provide practical, actionable roadmaps to more organizations so they can move from good intentions to measurable change.

I'm also passionate about empowering the next generation of leaders, providing emerging professionals with the tools, networks, and confidence to lead with inclusion at the core.

The partnership with Fair is incredibly significant for me, I see it as a force multiplier that will help us make change happen faster and at a greater scale.
